We believe helping students to understand themselves will assist them in making sound decisions and plans today and in their future. Our services are delivered through individual and group counseling. We ensure students have opportunities to engage in academic advisement and multi-year planning, college and career advisement and social/personal development.

About HCSD Arts

HCSD's Fine and Performing Arts Department affords all students the opportunity to study music, visual art, dance, and theatre, providing every child with experiences that promote life-long participation and enjoyment of the arts. We embrace the cooperative work of parents, teachers, students, and the community, and are invested in a collaborative approach to support student development and success.

The Harrison Athletics program is built on the principles of Rigor, Development, Communication, and Accountability. Harrison coaches work to develop programs based on communication, clear expectations, ongoing feedback, accountability and developing self-advocacy in our student athletes. We are committed to meeting the standards of high expectation and maximum effort on and off the field.

The Fine Arts program was recognized in 2020 by New York Magazine and the New York State PTA
Fine Arts students presented work at the OSILAS exhibit at Concordia College, NYSSBA Legislative Exhibit, Katonah Museum’s Young Artist
Exhibition, and the Bruce Museum; Fine Arts students have received recognition in the National Scholastic Art & Writing Awards and earned
top scholarships from the New York Art Teachers Association (NYSATA)

Regeneron International Science & Engineering Fair and Science Talent Search
The Husky Herald won second‐place in the 2023 Scholastic Newspaper Award from American Scholastic Journalist
The high school’s literary magazine earned an “Excellent” ranking from the National Council of Teachers of English
In 2023, the Debate Team won 11 national tournaments, had 4 students compete in the Tournament of Champions, students placed 2nd and
3rd in Nationals, and Harrison debaters were 6 of the top 10 nationally ranked debaters in New York State
For the sixth time, since launching 13 years ago, the Debate Team has the #1‐ranked Lincoln‐Douglas debater in the nation
Recognized as a School of Excellence by the New York State Athletic Association for the 2022‐2023 school year, exceeding the state
requirement of 75% of the Varsity sports teams achieving Scholar‐Athlete Team stat
