Harrison High School is ranked among the most competitive high schools in New York State and the nation. The following accomplishments and points of pride are attributable to Harrison's mission of rigor, adaptability, equity and access for all students, which serves as the foundation for all decisions made on behalf of our students.
- Fully inclusive educational program with access to all course offerings for diverse populations
- Ranked in the top 2% of schools in the nation by U.S. News and World Report which recognizes college readiness, reading and math proficiency, student performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rates
- 97% of students in the Class of 2025 enrolled in one or more AP or IB courses
- 24% of the Class of 2026 is enrolled in at least one Calculus course and 20% of the Class of 2026 is enrolled in Multivariable Calculus
- Music students have qualified and participated annually in All-State, Area All -State (Regional) and NYSSMA Solo and Ensemble Festivals
- Award winning Musical Theater program; Students perform and produce Fall play and One Act Festival
- Fine Arts students presented work at the OSILAS exhibit at Concordia College, NYSSBA Legislative Exhibit, Katonah Museum’s Young Artist Exhibition, and the Bruce Museum; Fine Arts students have received recognition in the National Scholastic Art & Writing Awards and earned top scholarships from the New York Art Teachers Association (NYSATA)
- 7 Metro Award nominations for the 2025 high school musical
- 129 students are enrolled in our award-winning Science Research program; Over the past 5 years, 12 students have been recognized as Regeneron Science Talent Search Scholars, including 1 Finalist; 9 students as International Science & Engineering Fair Finalists and 3 students as Regeneron Interns
- The high school’s literary magazine earned an “Excellent” ranking from the National Council of Teachers of English
- In 2025, the Debate Team won 15 national tournaments, earned 28 qualifying bids to the Tournament of Champions; In 2026, Harrison has the #1-ranked Lincoln-Douglas debater in the country, as well as the top 3 in New York state, 5 of the top 10 in the state, and two Academic All Americans, representing the top 1% of National Speech and Debate Association members
- Recognized as a School of Excellence by the New York State Athletic Association for 9 consecutive years, exceeding the state requirement of 75% of the Varsity sports teams achieving Scholar-Athlete Team status
