Letter from the Principal

Dear Community Member or Visitor,

The Harrison High School Community takes great pride in our commitment to the core values of equity, access, rigor, and adaptability. The website is a reflection of these beliefs and our dedication to excellence. We are rich in opportunity inside and outside of the classroom ensuring a well-rounded school experience for every student. Our mission is for all students to enjoy learning, feel safe and supported, and maximize their unique capacities as they stretch and challenge themselves in all aspects of high school life.

The Harrison Central School District is among the most competitive in New York State and the nation. I encourage you to examine our high school profile by clicking HERE.

Whether new to Harrison or a longtime resident, the profile provides a powerful snapshot of our students and school. While our philosophy and programs are designed to foster individual student success, we are also proud of our accomplishments as a school. Harrison is consistently ranked among America’s Most Challenging High Schools by The Washington Post, recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s top high schools and ranked in the top 2% of schools in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. The class of 2022 has 95% of students enrolled in at least one AP or IB course. Our accomplishments are attributable to a supportive community and Harrison’s commitment to its mission.

We hope you find these web resources and tools useful and informative as you navigate through your child’s high school experience or if you are just visiting to learn more about our extraordinary learning community. Short of a visit, nothing can fully capture the extraordinary learning environment that is Harrison High School. Please feel free to contact the school with questions, and we will connect you with a staff member best suited to offer further information. Our strong partnership with parents is essential in creating amazing outcomes for our students, and we welcome questions if you are a visitor considering our community as a place to educate your children.

Sincerely,
Ms. Kimberly Beukema
