“Superheroes, supervillains, and a dance battle. Yes...a dance battle! Get ready to wear tights, and to fight the forces of evil! Supervillain, The End, is determined to rid the world of superheroes in a misguided quest to force mankind to take personal responsibility–and of course for all to bow before them. As supers drop like flies, the military is decimated faster than you can say “decimated” and the President is binge-eating her feelings, the only thing standing in The End’s way may be teenage Charlie, the awkward, nerdy girl with a runaway mom and a permanent seat at the losers’ table at lunch. But sometimes the least likely candidate to save the world, if they believe hard enough—with the help of a loyal friend and a brilliant orphan from Parsippany—might actually be the most likely to succeed…”

HHS Playhouse is the extracurricular club of Harrison High School’s Theater Arts Program, and affiliated with International Thespian Troupe 8798. Each year, the club produces a faculty-directed Fall Play, and a student-directed Spring Play, aiming to stage a mix of classical and contemporary plays, both comedic and dramatic. The club strives to produce high quality and relevant theater productions while emphasizing collaboration, creativity and student voice.
